So if you have a 2020 or newer Tiffen motorhome with factory installed air brakes, your motorhome already has the capability of supplying air pressure for a flat towed vehicle. So this kit is going to install on your vehicle. It's going to allow it to receive that air pressure from your motorhome so that it can apply the brakes as it's being flat towed. This is just part of the full Demco Co Air Force One kit but because you already have the components on your RV, you don't need to pay for the full kit. more

This is gonna be a very easy way to get your vehicle set up to be flat towed. Of course, a braking system is only one of the components that you're gonna need to flat tow your vehicle, but, comparing this to permanently installed breaking systems, this is gonna be much easier to get installed and it's going to provide some other benefits as well that we'll go over here in a moment. So, to get this installed, or set up in your vehicle, we'll just take the actuator box here, sit it on the floor in front of your driver's seat, the adjustable feet on the bottom will accommodate your uneven floorboards, so you can get that all leveled out. The back of the unit can also be raised or lowered so that the unit can sit snugly against the front of your driver's seat to provide the support it needs, and then just tighten down in place, whenever you get it where it needs to be. more

But some vehicles will end up not having an active brake light switch whenever they're in tow mode. Or if you have retained accessory power, which is that function that allows you to still have your electronics working even 10 minutes after you turn off the ignition. Once that 10 minutes is up though, all the electronics turn off so that means it's also going to turn off the power to your brake light switch. more

Today we'll be taking a look at the Roadmaster stoplight switch kit. This is an important component in your vehicle to make sure that everything's working properly with your supplemental braking system. Since this is going to provide you that brake switch signal so that it can be sent to your monitor in your RV, while you're using that supplemental braking system, that'll let you know whenever those brakes are being depressed, so you can keep an eye on your system. A lot of times vehicles will shut off the power to their brakes if they don't have that hot brake signal anymore, or the power is not supplied because we have to use a better disconnect.Whatever the case may be, this will get us that signal that we need, so we can monitor it again in the RV. Typically, the reason why you'd want to do that is just to make sure that the brakes are being applied as you're applying the brakes in your RV. And if any event that something's going wrong, and you notice those brakes are being applied all the time in your towed vehicle, this is going to send that signal to your monitor to let you know. more
